Oliver is having a much needed nap right now. His WBC is on the rise as well as his ANC being 170 today (WBC 1.7). Platelets are excellent and his red went up slightly from yesterday but he is still anemic.
He is in a much better mood today. Dad brought a suitcase full of his toys and things last night which he had fun with. He is eating well but has been in bed since we were admitted. Getting good sleep is hard as well so I'm thankful he is getting this nap..even if he stirs awake for a minute due to some noise.
Still nothing on the cultures which could just mean his fever was from being neutropenic as neutropenia can cause fevers as well. He has to be free of one for 2 days and his anc has to be 500 or higher to get us home. With what I am seeing I hope Friday is the day.
He was supposed to start treatment tomorrow but his anc has to be above 750 for that. This next round will deplete his counts again so we will probably be back here again this month. Still not sure if they will just put us here for counts only or wait and see if anything abnormal happens.
Can't wait to get home. Me and Dan are passing ships this week trading off at the hospital.
