Oliver's ANC is 726 with a total WBC of 1.1 so these numbers seem to be staying the same.
However, his platelets dove even further to 21K - They had immediately called to ask how he was doing, if he is bleeding from anywhere and what to do if he does scrape skin or fall and bump himself, especially if he bumps his head.
The nurse said that his Dr. and main assigned nurse are in a meeting right now and they will call us back on what to do next (transfuse now, or check his counts again tomorrow before that decision comes up).[normal platelet counts are 140-400K btw]
His RBC is 2.86 and his Hgb is 8.6 (all still going down).
He's been fine, however. We have been making sure we just hang out at home like usual where he isn't put into a possible fall situation which is kind of sad since he has been asking to go to the playground so often lately. We can't even just play out back either for the fear of him falling or breaking skin, granted its hard to be able to be right there at his back with a baby to care for as well. Soon though...
Things will get better once this year is up.. we will be in full maintenance starting sometime in January we think, which will eventually allow him to attend school rather than having his teachers try and see him at the home and we'll be able to go out and about more often since his immune system won't be suppressed so often.
He's starting to use sentences more now.. and complete ones. The other day he said "Mommy, wheres the magnadoodle?" instead of just saying mommy and magnadoodle or just the name of what he wants. And today he said "mommy, turn on the light" as he went into his room to play.
I'll update if further action is needed regarding his platelets today, otherwise next count check is on Monday.
