ANC is 270 today. WBC is 1.5 up a bit as well. His reds went down still though except for platelets rising and have been in normal range.
We are hoping the whites keep rising so we can go home tomorrow or Sunday. ANC has to be 500 or higher. No fevers for 3 days now. Blood cultures still show nothing for that.
He is back to his old self with the exception of being here and in bed for a week. We expect him to be a bit weak on his feet when we get to leave. Being anemic as well so he will be tired. Yesterday he took a 3 hour nap. He then went to sleep at night and slept well. He just now fell asleep for nap as well.
We saw his assigned Oncologist today who didn't say just what he feels he might do when we start this next bit of chemo next week as far as admitting him when he is neutopenic or not. Still undecided but we have a feeling we will be back later this month. He is on the schedule to start on Thursday if his ANC is 750 or higher by then. All the drugs he will have will bring his counts down low again.
That's all I have for now. Update tomorrow once we have numbers and know what's going on.
