Oliver's ANC is 1953 today, his WBC is 2.1 so most of his white cells (93%) are this type of infection fighting cells.
They told us to keep an eye on him as he has a lot of what they call 'bands', higher than normal which can mean infection since those go up when there is something going on, but medications could also cause this (which the ones he is getting can).
His Hgb is holding steady at 7.7 so no transfusion needed just yet. We will see if they are going to go down again with all these drugs or not. Next check is Monday.
He's still hanging quiet being anemic and today has started eating less (although he was eating way more the last 2 weeks).. but still asking for certain foods.. like salad the last couple days.
Hopefully the higher bands and ANC are a result of the meds and not that he is fighting something since he will soon become neutropenic with his counts in a week or two (or somewhere around there).
Will update again on Monday.
