Update

Oliver's ANC this morning is only 9!  They did say he has a rise in the mono's which eventually turn into neutrophils.

No doubt we'll be there for at least a couple more days if not more. Hopefully tomorrow mornings labs show some sign of going up so we know its coming at least.

His breathing is getting better after all the treatments and oxygen. But his fever keeps coming still. He had one this morning.

They suspect that its viral pneumonia at this point since he keeps having fevers even after all the antibiotics he keeps getting. They did swab him for the flu and RSV just to rule those out but no one thinks that may be it anyhow (those results are not back in yet, so while they are waiting, all their staff must wear masks and disposable coveralls when they come in).

He did not get much sleep at all last night since they wanted him to do the inhaler every 2 hours. He would pass out in-between eventually, but there was always some alarm or monitor beeping. They finally changed it to every 4 hours this morning going forward. Hopefully he gets some sleep tonight.

He did not want to touch his dinner last night, but he did eat some of his breakfast this morning and seems to be much happier. They turned down the O2 a bit to see how he does and so far its keeping ok it seems.

Dan is going to stay with him tonight since I really didn't get much of any sleep either and he seems well enough to stay. Miles has a runny nose and a cough as well still.

I'll try to update sometime tomorrow on how his condition is doing and his counts, etc.

Thanks for everyones well wishes and thoughts and things. It is much appreciated. We just want him to get well fast so he can come back home soon!
