Oliver's fever came back last night after, even after all the antibiotics. So we called the clinic in the morning and they said to just bring him into the hospital to be admitted. Good thing too, because we checked his counts and his ANC is really, really low meaning he has basically no immune system.
So we are going to be trying to accommodate our life around the hospital again. Unfortunately I (Dan) am sick, so I can't spend much time there, and it seems Miles is coming down with a cold also. So Nada is going to have to be at the hospital most of the time, which sucks because she is pregnant.
Oliver seems to be in reasonably good spirits.
He is on oxygen and his recent blood cultures have all come back negative, so we think the pneumonia is probably viral in nature, especially since he doesn't seem to be responding to the antibiotics.
Hopefully they can help him kick the pneumonia, but he'll be in the hospital until his immune system comes back, so we could be there for a week or two.
