Still in the hospital, hopefully home soon

Oliver has been doing very well today.  He slept very well last night and he has been in very good spirits.  Lots of playing and talking, and he has started to get his appetite back.  He hasn't had a fever in over 24 hours and his breathing appears to be getting better except that his blood oxygen level is still not as good as we want.

He got a visit today from the Make a Wish foundation who delivered his wish.  We are going to go to San Diego for a week to visit Legoland, Sea World, and all the other sites.  We were scheduled to go next week, and this illness has put that plan in jeopardy, but his doctors are confident that he will be well enough to go by then.  So we are still planning on a trip in a week.

The doctors told us we might be able to go home if his blood oxygen levels don't dip down into dangerous levels when he sleeps.  They wanted to monitor him during his naps, but he has been so perky today that he didn't take a nap.  He just finally fell asleep and, unfortunately, his oxygen level dipped down too low.  So we are staying in the hospital till tomorrow, and maybe even longer if we can't get his oxygen levels up while he sleeps.
