This all started on Saturday April 16th. Oliver had been acting very sick and unlike himself. He had a fever, and was very irritable, and wouldn't use his arms.
We took him to the doctors on Sunday and they drew some blood. We then had a follow up appointment on Monday and had more blood drawn and got some X-rays. Based on those tests, and the fact that he is at an increased risk for leukemia because of his DS, they felt he should be admit him to the hospital for more intensive testing.
While waiting in the hospital for more testing, some further investigation of the earlier blood draws showed leukemic cells. Oliver had leukemia.
