It's been 2 weeks.....

Oliver has now been in the Hospital for 2 weeks. Today we heard there could be a slim chance we could be going home tomorrow.. count dependent. However, if his counts do start to fall again into any danger zone for him, we'd be back here. I will gladly take a few days at home even if we had to come back again. Oliver is doing the count dance (what one Dr. referred it as). Normally I guess they expected his counts to all go down, together, and get pretty low, before they start to come back up. His dance up and down, however.

Expecting in the beginning to be staying here for up to 4 weeks, and now all the sudden today we are told 'maybe tomorrow' - I'm a little stressed only because the house has been only used for occasional sleeping overnight by one of us (mostly to get more things to take over to Dan's parents house since they live walking distance from the Hospital), and the week before we were admitted, Oliver and myself were away while Dan spent most of his time working, every single day including the weekend. I am going to the house tonight to at least get Olivers room in top shape, and the living room since he will probably be spending most of his coming days on the couch first. Have been compiling a list of things we need to get from target as well. We'll have all these new supplies to keep housed in a portable type of area (think plastic storage drawers rolling cart type of thingie) Plus all those good hand washing items and what not.... blah blah blah.

I am sort of pessimistic about the slim chance tomorrow, especially since his ANC went down to 520 today, from 638 the day before, and a higher number the day before that. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Oliver has turned into a string cheese monster. It was never a home item either. Its "bring cheese stick" now, almost 4 if not more times a day. We now have it in with his food orders for each meal to automatically bring 2 (was 1 with breakfast and dinner, and 2 with lunch) - plus they have a small stock of them now in the fridge on the floor. He ate his entire turkey sandwich today, and 30 minutes later asked for another. Keeps saying "breakfast" randomly as well throughout the day. He has finally fallen asleep for a late nap, I was wondering when all this eating would catch up to him to finally get ANY nap today.

Of course, if his ANC does stay and go down, no visitors in his room either when that is the case.

We'll let you know what happens tomorrow as soon as we know and can post about it.
