Oliver had his hernia repair surgery today.
It went as expected. Felt a little off for a bit once he finally came to, and he was sent home with some pain meds. There are no outer stitches, just a bunch of glue like stuff over the area that will eventually thin off. He really has no restrictions other than to not submerge it in water over the next week.
We hope he will feel ok to attend school tomorrow as he can not take this pain med during school, but we can give him some regular tylenol and only have him stay to lunch picking him up a little over an hour earlier than normal.
Miles starts his preschool tomorrow as well. We've taken him there twice in the last week for an hour to get used to it. He is so ready!
Oliver has his next Oncology appointment next week on Wednesday so there will be an update after that as well.
