Oliver saw his Oncologist today and had his labs drawn.
He did much better this appointment than the last. He was getting lots of love from his favorite receptionist and nurse.
Labs:
White Blood Count: 5.4 ANC 3240 (60%)
Red Blood Count: 4.36
Hemoglobin: 13.1
Platelets: 222K
All within normal limits.
School has gotten off to a rough start for him. He is a routine kind of guy so its going to take some getting used to a new one with a new teacher in a new room, and new kids in his classroom . He does have some familiar faces.
I am guessing its going to ramp up slowly and we'll be good by months end, I hope.
He continues to surprise me though with what he does know. They are doing spelling quizzes every week. This week is only a practice one so I wanted to see if he could do it. He was able to spell 6 words on his own (writing them down) but 2 he needed help with (have, art). Of course the math homework is way beyond him right now.
Miles started his preschool last week as well. Only 2 days a week. He reaches a hump about 90 minutes in, but other than the first day, he works through it and continues along with the rest of the day. He loves to tell me all about his day, and that I came to pick him up being the most important part.
