Oliver had his monthly check up today at Oncology.
His numbers are as follows:
WBC 7.0 with an ANC of 4690 (67%)
RBC 4.46
HGB 13.3
Platelets 280K
All excellent numbers. His ANC is a little high but he was sick all last week so that is expected.
All 3 guys were sick last week, with Grant still lingering with fevers, cough, etc.
Oliver and Miles seem to be on the mend, however.
We had Oliver's IEP (Individual Education Plan) yesterday and are so proud to hear his teachers and specialists praise him. They have all definitely seen some huge strides these last 2 months. They say sometimes it can take a year after chemo to get back into the swing of things, but we think his time is now. I wish they could show me video of him doing these things they say he does, like get in the lunch line himself and get his own food tray, and go sit down, etc. He will go to summer session for 4 weeks and then move onto 2nd grade next year! We made some pretty big goals for him as well. He nearly has met all of this years goals (the year isn't over yet though), or close to, aside from one that has to do with math, which is at 0% - but that is ok. Math is hard! He is emerging in writing and reading however!
In other news, we welcome baby Yoshito, the boys newest cousin that Auntie Molly and Uncle Paul had last week. We hope to meet him soon once everyone is healthy. Congrats! Yoshi is a cutie pie!
Other than that, we all are loving being back in our house and neighborhood. Still slow to unpack and put away but we will get there. My mom and sister are visiting next month, and my other sisters family come as well for a few days during that. It'll be a fun time!
Until next month!
