4 more months!

Todays count check shows Olivers WBC at 1.7 with an ANC of 1054 (62%).
RBC is 3.76
HGB is at 11.9
and Platelets at 169K

No changes in meds at this time.

We have exactly 4 more months of chemo left. Within that time, only two spinals/IV chemo treatments left with the week of steroids at the start of each of those.  March 25th is his next spinal/IV treatment.
June 17th is the last one, and then everything stops on July 6th. Since we expect him to be compromised near the July 6th date being just after his treatment, they won't schedule to take his broviac out until his counts fully recover, but we hope that it is sometime in the month of July.

This weekend we went to see the Disney on Ice show.  We had a box suite thanks to Dan's cousin so we invited a bunch of Olivers friends and their families.  Oliver was a little scared at first once the lights went out and the music started, but once he saw Mickey and Minnie with Goofy and Donald, he relaxed and watched with intent.  Clapping at times, breaking away to do pirouettes and pretend to be iceskating.  He even initiated going to the potty twice in the box suite (it has its own bathroom!) which is a huge feet for him. The Monday after that he asked to watch "The Princess and the Frog" since that was one bit they did. I told him we didn't have that movie and he told me to go to Target and buy it!
You know I did! :) - The show also featured Cinderella and Tangled (shortened versions made for skating of those movies). In-between those acts they had the Mickey crew come out, and they did have an intermission period as well. A huge closing at the end and some pyrotechnics to wow the kids!  Overall success party.  I hope we can do again when they come around with a show.  When we ask him about it he says he wants to go again!

Sunday we went to the Challenger Little League meet and greet.  While we were walking to find the location at the park, we hear some kids calling out to Oliver.  Its one of Oliver's classmates from his K class and his older brother who we often see at pickup or drop off.  Turns out the older brother is on the team!  It was nice for Oliver to know some kids there and hopefully that will help over all with him wanting to join into playing at the games.  Opening day is this weekend with a parade and pictures, and first game on Sunday.  He actually plays the Albany team on the 17th this month (its at 2pm at the fields by the race track if anyone wants to go watch).  He isn't on the local league because it starts at age 7, where the Pinole league lets them start at age 5.  We picked up a glove for him last week and he is getting used to using it, though he thinks you throw from it as well. :)

We have a mere 14 weeks left until our new little guy gets released to the wild as well if anyones keeping track.

We will be checking counts again next week on Thursday I believe.
Until then!
