Count check

Oliver's WBC is at 1.8 today with an ANC of 1188 (66%)

RBC at 4.17
HGB at 12.5
Platelets at 184K

He is doing fine and just wrapping up the last few days of school before winter break.
We will check his counts again on Friday next week. He will then start his next round of chemo on the 31st with a spinal then IV chemo that morning, 5 days of steroids as well. He'll be home on break so we won't have to deal with any issues at school that week.

We did try to go see Santa last weekend down the street, but Oliver did not want to sit on his lap. He was so torn and confused about him. He said Hi to him but was afraid, and would want to go, but then not go and vise versa. I'll see if he wants to try again this weekend. Miles did sit on his lap but was a little confused. I have the same photo of Miles on the same Santa in the same place from last year. He has grown so much!

Today after I picked him up from school, I let him and Miles play on the tot playground for a bit as some of his classmates do. Even though eventually everyone had left, he was still upset we had to leave.  Some kids totally hover on him (and these are not kids in his actual class, but they know him).

If he could keep his cool about leaving in the future, I may let them release some energy for the 15 minutes some kids hang around. Oliver is pretty good on his own other than the hovering that I need to break up from time to time, but Miles needs to be watched since these kids just plow their way through the playground.  Miles still enjoys it, however.

Until next week!
Hope everyone has a great Holiday week!
