Count Check

Yesterday was a holiday so there was no check since the clinic was closed.

Oliver did get his dosage increased, but to 50% of what he was at when he was taken off it the second time, so in total, he is only taking about 33% of the full dose. This increase started last week on Monday.

His WBC today is at 2.0 with an ANC of 1380 (69%)
[again, normal WBC range is from 5-15 and normal ANC is usually above 1500 from that number]
RBC is rising at 3.84
HGB is great at 12.0
And platelets great at 162K

Oliver had his first days of school last week. I think it was harder on me than him! It is such a change from the pre-school on how things work. Today started a new week and he had time in the regular kindergarten class.  It was during the reading of Humpty Dumpty. Ms Joanne (his former pre-school teacher), who is helping out a few hours after pre-school ends, was with him for that.
When we left school we ran into Ms. Kathy (the regular K class) to give her some school supplies and Oliver started reciting the rhyme as he remembered that is what he did and did that the whole way home. Thursday is back to school night where the parents can go meet the teachers and talk without any kids around.  It'll be nice to get some feedback and re-meet everyone and the parents.

Next check will be on Monday. Oliver also has his monthly check up with Oncology after school as well on that day.

For those of you wondering how Miles is doing. He is growing and eating and growing and eating.  His mouth decided to bring out all 4 of the first molars at the same time this past month. He now has 12 teeth. He skipped his incisors like Oliver did, so those 4 and the 2nd set of Molars are all that are left and the boy is only 13 months old. Oliver had just popped his 1st tooth when he was this old!

Enjoy the week!
