Count Check

Oliver's ANC today is at 1088 from 64% of his 1.7 WBC

RBC is at 3.84
HGB at 12.0 (normal)
Platelets at 173K (normal)

My guess is they will then increase his oral medications to 75% of full dose from the 50 we've been on.
Nothing much new to report. School is still 'fun'. Potty training is still frustrating. We will check his counts again next week on Friday, then the following Monday he has his next chemo treatment and 5 days of steroids. After that treatment, there are only 3 more like that left (January/March/June).
It still seems so far away but at the same time we are getting closer and closer to being done.

Flu and cold season is among us. We hope Oliver's system is able to handle all his new germs at school after this next treatment during the time when everyone seems to get sick at school. We all have to get our flu shots in this house and we encourage you to do so as well. Please note however, the flu mist is the live virus and Oliver is technically not allowed to be around folks who received that type as they can shed the virus for up to 3 weeks.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.
Until next week.

Oh and don't forget to see my previous post on donating to the Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area! Please pass that link along to anyone who might want to help. Thanks!
