Slow start this year

Oliver's counts are still too low for him to have his last chemo treatment of this round that we were hoping would have been before the year was up.

His WBC is staying at 1.0 with his ANC at 290 today. They want him at 500.
All his reds went up slightly just being a tad below normal.

We will recheck again on Thursday and if he makes it to 500, he will get his treatment on Friday. This now means starting full maintenance has been moved to the last week of January (tentatively speaking as his counts have to had recovered, and being how long its taking these last 2 weeks, it could be longer?). At least we are sure it will be in February sometime at least. Just means group activities and going back to school will have to wait just a little big longer....

Everything else is business as usual. He's been happy and playing outside when possible. Got to play with his friend next door a few times. He now says that Miles is growing when he helps change his diaper. I uploaded some cute pictures of them and their friend next door hanging out yesterday on the floor. Go to the flickr photo link under the links area to the right to view them.

For those of you who are wondering still since its been a while and I am not sure how much longer they will make us to wait to find out.. but we still have not heard back about us and our home being chosen for HGTV's Curb Appeal: The Block -
I didn't want to jinx it by posting about it but most of you have heard word of mouth. The production company that produces the show came out and filmed us in the end of October for an "audition" - We were told we'd find out either way in about a month. After that came and went I emailed asking and was told we were still being considered and hopefully will know this coming month (December) - Still nothing so I emailed on Friday. Still waiting to hear back so everyone out there.. FINGERS CROSSED! We were talking about the name of the show back then that Oliver remembers and every now and then out of the blue he tries to say "HGTV.. the block" (sometimes the curb appeal part gets put in there, but its not that intelligible). In the mean time, he's managed to make the front look less inviting by drawing all over the front door with chalk. WE NEED YOU MORE THAN EVER HGTV! Maybe they can paint our front door with chalk board paint? :P

Until Thursday.....(unless I have news of the above to report.. I know this is Oliver's blog, but some of you have said that you like to hear updates on how we are doing as a whole as well so I'll do my best).
