No blood check today as I had thought. Next one is on Tuesday and Friday next week and that is all that is on the calendar for next week. Another check on 23rd and then the 25th for a start of maintenance on the 26th if counts are good.
I did say I would update today so here it is.
Oliver had his chemo on Tuesday. I love taking him to clinic as the nurses are gaga over him. There are two that compete for his "I love you"'s - one week he is into one and the next the other so they always come by to see who is his favorite of the week.
When we are all done, he does not want to leave. He wants to strut all over the place and show off.
The next day we walked up to his school for a visit when they had just finished up the class. He started going around like he never left the place. He is ready. We just have to wait a couple more weeks! Other than walks and some play time in front on the driveway with his friend next door, nothing much else going on. He isn't as hungry right after getting this particular type of chemo for a few days. We are checking his mouth for sores as its to be expected and we have the magic mouth wash ready just in case.
Today is the day Make a Wish comes to meet him. Its this afternoon. He clearly does not understand what it means to be asked if you could wish for something or have something you want. I ask him the question in various formats and sometimes he says a food item, yesterday he said "Joannes Class" (that's his teacher). I asked him if he could draw yo gabba gabba and he did draw something that he is referring to as yo gabba gabba, even came into the kitchen with it wanting me to put it up on the fridge. Guess we'll see how it goes. [as I was reading this over, he came over to me and gave me another paper with scribbles on it and I asked him whats that, and he answered yo gabba gabba again].
Today he was cooking in his kitchen and I asked him if he was making mommy a birthday cake (it's today) and he said "no, go away". However he did come see me this morning and told me "happy birthday mommy". <3

(oh and the HGTV thing is still being decided upon! I was told hopefully in early Feb now but I'm going to just pretend like its not happening so it's less of a disappointment hoping for so long only to eventually find out after many months its a no go. But that way it would be a fantastic surprise if we did get chosen so still keep your fingers crossed if they haven't cramped up by now).
