Oliver's ANC is 576 today from his total WBC of 1.2
His reds are slightly lower than last time with platelets still the only item in normal range.
He is eating and drinking a bit less, has developed some mouth sores again so its back to the magic mouth wash. Hopefully the sores will be gone by the weekend and his counts up so he can get his treatment on Monday. After that only one more of this round. He will most likely get the sores again, but we treat it and hope they are gone by the time he is due for the last treatment (otherwise they post pone).
We put up our tree while he was at his grandparents house hoping that would be the distraction to us removing his trampoline from the room. Would not be able to fit the tree in, but also he has become a dare devil on the bar you can hang onto in front while you jump. I caught him trying to balance his chest on it with his whole body in the air. Great if he can do it, but the last thing we need is him to dive head first over the bar onto the wood floor. He also jumps way to high for it at this point. He does however encourage Miles to jump in his jumper (had to make room for that too).
Now I have a question or poll to take from all you readers out there. We are about to start the make-a-wish process for him. They eventually come out and talk to Oliver to see what he wants, but he would most likely not understand the concept for years to come so we'll see but we thought we'd make suggestions. We were thinking Disney.. seems like the most logical thing right? But then the nurse at his treatment last week said anyone can do that themselves, you should think about something you wouldn't be able to do normally. I immediately thought about Yo Gabba Gabba. He loves that show, he is actually repeating the part when they show a kid dancing with their name and their voice over of "My name is so and so.. I like to Dance". Why can't he be that kid? He says it himself with his own name. Get to be on the show to watch himself. Get to be on the set, meet the characters, and DJ lance rock, etc, get Yo Gabba Gabba gear. I know he freaked out when we went to see the show live, but I think that was my mistake of getting seats way up front, it was loud, kids were screaming.. I don't think its going to be like that on the set or meeting the people involved. Regarding Disney, the one time I took Oliver to a dinky carnival that had a few rides, not really many people there, and music playing kind of on the loud side, he freaked out and was hanging onto me for dear life so we had to go, and he was with a friend which he quickly forgot about because he was freaked out. Now keep in mind from what I hear from the clinic staff, no matter what the wish ends up being, its VIP treatment all the way, so if it were Disney (not sure if land or world), its front of the line kind of thing (which if you did your own disney vacation, it would not be like that), all taken care of from the moment you leave your home, but it would be the same for anything, like red carpet where ever you go.
So, what do you think? I know it really is up to him but he may not understand what he is being asked so we may need to suggest, but Dan is Disney, and I am Yo Gabba Gabba. What say you?
