Update and Counts

Since I last wrote, Oliver has become more active like himself. He does get frustrated when he realizes he can't do the activities like he used to do when he starts off forgetting his leg and core muscles are not up to par just yet. We got him a trampoline with a safety bar that he's been using (they would do this activity at school) - If you go to the youtube video link to the right, you can watch a video of his first bout on it. Also some pics on our flickr photos page of this activity as well (link to the right).

Yesterday after his nap, he seemed warmer to us. He appears to have a low grade fever still and has not had much of any appetite yesterday either (same is going for today).
We had blood work today and his total White Blood Count is within normal range, which is shocking to us after one week, and since the new medicine he is on is supposed to lower your counts during the process - which it has with his Reds.. his hemoglobin went down to 7.0 from 8.9 last week, and 7 is the cut off for transfusion.
His ANC is over 7K! - so we think he does have something going on and is fighting it off which is why the jump with his whites.

This means that he will be seen tomorrow after his Spinal in the morning for a blood transfusion at clinic.

Hopefully whatever he is fighting off is minor and his body is just doing what it is supposed to do with his white blood cells.

We'll try and update tomorrow evening regarding all of the above so you know all is well.
