He still has this perpetual snot nose thing going on. It tends to be more so in the morning after a nights sleep, and less later on in the day, with some ups and downs throughout the week. Really looking forward to that going away completely already. It seems like he's had this for months now with maybe an occasional one to three days of being in the clear here and there at one time. As long as it doesn't turn anything more.
They did decide to increase his dosage to 75%. If he holds well at this level, they may increase him to 85% before he ends treatment completely, but that would probably be it unless he does become compromised or nearly so after his next and last treatment.
We are down to the last month. Saturday will be exactly 4 weeks left. We will check labs again on Friday next week. Then on June 17th he has his last spinal/chemo and IV chemo treatment, plus the 5 days of those ever so fun steroids. Once July 6th hits, all chemo stops (unless of course he becomes compromised before then and they take him off his oral meds because of that, then we just end completely if that is the case and July 6th rolls around). We then may anticipate they will remove his broviac towards the end of July, after we make sure his counts are well recovered since once its gone, he gets poked for blood checks going forward (once a month for a year to start!).
There is one more week left of school after this week ends.
Baby has 5 more whole days left before he gets evicted on Wednesday (unless he decides to come on his own).
We finally got word we can get our building permits tomorrow (or Monday) to start work on our house next week!
We will try to update the blog regarding the baby after he shows up, but if not, always try the flickr photo link we have listed under the links section in the right as its easy to post directly from snaps taken off our phones.
Otherwise we'll make sure to update Friday with the count information for that day's check next week.
Have a great weekend!
