We decided we are going to do two count checks this week and again next week so we can predict any trending after this last round of chemo so we can stay ahead of the game this time especially since he is in school.
It looks like his WBC and ANC went up from last time to 2.6 and 2080 (80%).
His RBC went down to 3.5 and his HGB went down to 10.7
Platelets went down as well to 194K (but still within normal range).
It is always unpredictable which count type the drugs will bring down if they are going to bring only some down, vs others. I am hoping that is the case here and his reds are taking a hit and his whites are keeping strong (and that its not something his body is working on fighting either). He is off the steroids now since Friday evening so we'll see how it goes.
I am sure they will bring his oral chemo drugs back up to 100% dose now as well. We will check his counts again on Friday. Until then!
