Its been a full week of full dose meds and we did a check this morning.
Oliver's WBC is at 5.2 and his ANC is at 4680 (90%). Now the WBC is within normal range, and his ANC is very high. We suspect he is fighting something off as his brother is running a fever these last two days with a cough. Hopefully this prevents him from actually getting an illness.
His RBC is at 3.75
HGB at 12.0 (within normal range)
And platelets at 147K (within normal range)
Up until today we had gorgeous extra warm weather and it was nice for lots of outdoor play. Oliver had 2 birthday parties last weekend which he had tons of fun at. His is only 6 weeks away and he will be turning 5 (with his brother turning 1 just a few days before). We hope that he is healthy enough to attend his own party. It will be about 3 weeks after he has his next spinal/IV chemo and 5 days of that nasty steroid. We are getting eager to start our 12 month count down next month. Knowing we are in our last year of treatments!
We'll be checking his counts in a week. See you then!
Don't forget to sponsor Oliver for this years biggest fundraising event to benefit the Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area - link here: http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/nada-nakahara/2012STEPUP
Thanks!
