Yikes!

Olivers ANC is only 72 today with his WBC at .6 - Immediately picked him up from school. He seems fine with no sickness but has been pretty irritable these last couple days it seems. He's also had some hair loss, nothing you'd notice directly, just lots of hair on his bed and his shirt. That'll still going happen but not enough to make it all fall out completely.

His RBC is at 3.51
Hgb at 11.5
Platelets at 172K

We will keep him home from school until he passes 500 again. However, in regards to his meds, they take him off now and wait until his ANC is 750 or above. Then they will start him on at 50% of the dose for 2 weeks to see how he does before they decide to go up to 75% of the dosage eventually trying to get to the full dosage. We will have to cancel his dentist appointment for next week as if anything like before it took nearly 2 weeks to come back up. Plus they want his counts to be above 1000 before dentist visits. Its unfortunate in regards to school as well as there is only 5 weeks left (however, there is 4 weeks of summer school after a 2 week break).

Soooooo, we are in isolation mode now. At least the weather is nice as outside as that is always a safe bet (in our backyard or in the stroller, where there are no other people to mingle and exchange germs with). Will try to limit the feeling of cabin fever best we can (new toys). Thank goodness for the double stroller (thanks Gaga's!) - its been so great walking Oliver to/from school, and just being able to strap them both in so I can still move about freely while we are out as well.

We will do labs on Thursdays, then Mondays until otherwise noted.
