Count update
Oliver's ANC is down to 660 with a WBC of 1.2
Hgb is at 11.1 and platelets at 174K
Sometimes after you get off the steroids it makes your counts dip but the question then is will they go back up again or do the gradual downward climb?
Because of this number we will likely test again early next week. Not sure exactly which day but it'll be one of the first 3 at least.
Once the clinic calls, we'll figure that out.
I am not liking these constant dips in numbers during this time. Although they won't take him off the meds until he becomes neutropenic (below 500).
We have a dentist appointment scheduled for the 15th which requires him to take some antibiotics before hand, but if his counts are too low, not sure if its wise to have him go but I will ask about that today.
He's back to normal after the steroids and loving school again.
Only 5 more weeks of school, then a slight break and 4 weeks of summer school.
We have his IEP scheduled for the 30th as well.
Sort of a funny thing... We let Oliver play on the computer, its an iMac that we set up with a profile for him (bigger arrow, icons, and controls). Well, he's figured out how to use the mouse and navigate the PBS kids website quite well, its pretty amazing. Then he figured out how to get to his profile and open up the website on his own. Last night, I look at what he's doing and he somehow turned the camera on, and on the screen he's sitting in a cart on a roller coaster while riding it?!?!?! Next he was with the fish in the sea. He figures out this stuff on his own, its great.
Have a great weekend, see you next week sometime.
