And we're back

Oliver's ANC is at 1200 today. His WBC is 3.0 and his reds, hgb, and platelets are all normal.
He still has a snotty nose which seems to be more prominent in the mornings mostly.

He goes back on full dose medications today as well.

We did draw an extra tube of blood for a test they are sending away for. This is going to check enzymes. Apparently some kids have an issue where they can't metabolize the 6MP, so it lingers in the system. If that is the case, they will reduce his regular dosage.

This week is spring break so he is at home anyway but he will get to return to school on Monday.
He had an EKG today in prep for his annual cardiology follow up (He had open heart surgery when he was 4 months old to repair a VSD). He sees his cardiologist on Thursday.

Thats about it. We will check labs next week on Monday, then the Friday after as the 23rd he starts the next 12 week cycle. I will also find out how many 12 week cycles he actually has to go so we can have a proper count down. Its either 5 or 6 but I am not exactly sure. Again each cycle starts with a spinal, then vincristine via IV at the clinic, 5 days of steroids. The daily 6MP and weekly methotrexate for the oral drugs.

Have a great week!
