Sorry for the short and infrequent updates. We've been busy getting ready for baby #2. Due date is only 19 days away! Everything is good on that front.
Oliver had a count check a few days after his first treatment with this round. All his counts went down, but today's check they all bounced back up (ANC was 875) so he will be getting his next scheduled treatment on Monday morning. Mind you other than his platelets, they are all below 'normal' but not for what he is going through in theory. Most are just now below the normal marker range low, except for his total WBC which is even lower but adequate for a cancer patient. They will check his counts again on Friday to see how he he is tolerating the dosage of one of the IV chemo drugs (he gets 2 kinds each visit), then they will check again the day before he would be scheduled for the next one (July 28th). The plan is to increase the dosage if they can for each treatment.
Today Oliver was saying and signing the word "Cook" which he somehow found the video for on youtube (From the 'signing time' series) all on his own? How he finds these things on youtube via the ipad is baffling. I had to go see the history on what he's been watching and I can't believe how he gets to these videos. We had never learned that sign but he knows it now and technically taught it to us. Amazing.
